This message is for the people who watch me on DA and anyone who visits my page. I haven't been active on Deviant Art since 2009. My relationship with art has changed since my graduation from high school. Being out of high school, I've had time to observe myself, and gradually art and games have become less important to me as I noticed other things I had been neglecting before. I'm in the process of trying to claim responsibility for myself and my actions, and this means changing my entire approach towards life. I believe art has a place and a purpose, but I'm not ready to return to it until I've found what that place and purpose is in relat

If looking at someone's picture (or poem) sparks an idea or feeling or thought process, I'll sometimes carry the idea through in the form of a napkin-sized piece of creative writing, and it's fun to post these as comments to pictures. In addition to being fun, I think it can be valuable to the artist I'm commenting on, as my mental processes and associations sparked by the image are revealed, hopefully giving a glimpse to the artist of the feeling I get when I see the picture. And, of course, I know from experience that thoughtful commentary is very valuable to an artist. So, these are poetic bits of writing made as comments to pictures, as

Well, I figured it's about time I updated my journal. My last journal said (paraphrased) "it's about to be Christmas", and that's about to be true again, soooo.... The other day my mom and I bought some acrylic paints to share, so something might become of those, in the form of some monstrous painting...? Maybe? I'm not sure, but I do like to paint some, so we'll see how it goes. It'll be nice to work with color for a change. There hasn't been terribly much for me to post since I graduated, so that's why I've not been active around here.
