I tried to imitate Pixel's style here. He's the Japanese creator of a freeware Super Nintendo style platformer game that is just awesome. Definitely my favorite storyline out of all PC games I've played. The game is called Doukutsu Monogatori, or Cave Story.

This is the silent protagonist, Quote, holding his starting weapon, the Polar Star.
